Turning Three - Yee Haw!!!

Oh little cowboy, how is it even possible that you are already three years old?  You have brought so much joy, laughter and excitement to our world and we couldn't be more happier to celebrate your big 3rd BIRTHDAY!!

You love being a cowboy and definitely know how to say "Yee Haw!"  So it was a cowgirl party theme this year.  You definitely knew this was your day and helped to remind everyone to tell you Happy Birthday.

Everyone got into the cowgirl party theme, especially sissy.

The photo prop was lots of fun and pretty easy to make.  Using two pieces of foam board from the dollar store and my cricut; presto - we have a "Wanted" backdrop!

Even Miss Taylor got into the cowgirl spirit and wore her cowgirl shirt and boots to the party!

You wanted pink cupcakes for your birthday so strawberry it was!  Singing Happy Birthday to you and your sister always seems to make me a little teary eyed.

Within an hour after everyone had gone home you did some relaxing on the couch and next thing we know you were OUT!

Happy 3rd Birthday to our little cowgirl - Yee Haw!!!

Pumpkin Patch 2012

What an amazing September and early October we had here.  We decided we needed to head to the pumpkin patch before the rain hit and I'm so glad we did - It was GORGEOUS!

There is so much to do at this pumpkin patch, it's hard to decide what to do first.  We decided the first stop on the agenda was picking out a pumpkin.  We all loaded up on the tractor for our short ride to the pumpkin patch.

Trying to find the perfect pumpkin is a tough task. First, we need to be able to carry it out of the field and second it can't be icky.  With some help, we all found our perfect pumpkin.

Now that we have our pumpkins, time to enjoy the sea of orange.

Enough time soaking up the sun, it's back on the tractor we go!

While daddy took our perfect pumpkins to the car, we enjoyed some the activities at the farm, like the giant slide!

Whenever we mention pumpkin patch to Brooke all she remembers is riding the pony from last year.  She was so excited to ride the pony we couldn't get those tickets fast enough.

She knew exactly what to do, she knew how to roll her hips as the pony walked, she even knew how to see "Weeee Haw!" Yes, that's correct, she says "weeee" and I don't correct her because I think she sounds so cute.  She didn't really care about doing anything else except ride the pony.

Morgan opted to take a ride on the quads with her four tickets.  It was great to see that the only kiddos taking a spin where GIRLS!

Of course when Morgan realized there were enough tickets left for both girls to take another spin on the ponies, she wasn't going to pass up that opportunity.

Thanks to sunny skies, perfect pumpkins and great company, it was another successful trip to the pumpkin patch.

Baby Ballet

Thinking back on this Saturday morning makes me smile.  It was the first day of Baby Ballet for Brooke.

The morning went amazingly smooth.  We weren't running late, we had plenty of time to enjoy this special day.

She was so excited to put her ballet leotard on and run to show daddy.  Before she could show him, we decided we need put her hair in a pony (ballet studio rules).  She sat patiently and picked out a pretty ribbon will I slicked her hair back to ponytail.  We barely had her slippers on when and she was down the hall to show off her outfit.

Luckily for Miss Brooke, we have big sissy Morgan to show us the proper way to hold our hands.

As I yelled to the family "let's load up" I could hear her sweet little voice in the back room "wait for me!"  I could tell by her voice that she was thrilled to have something she could call her own.  Finally, the day was about Brooke.

Brooke has grown up at SWDA.  In fact, I was pregnant with her while doing baby ballet with Morgan.  She has tagged along every week for Morgan's dance classes so she is very comfortable here and I love it!

As we got in the car to head home, she says "I want to do that again." --- It was a "Cairo" morning for me.
